My Work

As an interdisciplinary artist, my work spans photography, video, neon, and installation—all mediums I use to delve into themes that captivate my curiosity.  Working primarily in thematic series, I embark on each new project with a commitment that often extends over years, or even decades, allowing my evolving thoughts to continually reshape and deepen the work. My art is rooted in a passionate belief in our profound interconnectedness, a concept I explore and illuminate through each series. By revisiting these themes over time, I aim to reveal the subtle and often overlooked connections that bind all living beings and the natural world, inviting viewers to reflect on the intricate tapestry of our existence.  My work has been published internationally and awarded many distinctions over the years.  A particular honor happened in 2011, when I received "The International photographer of the year" award from the Photography Master's Cup,  for my portrait,  "Miss Anita" from the Secrets and Keepers collection.

Biography

Born in the deep South to a British, Jewish immigrant father and a Georgia dairy farmer's daughter, my diverse heritage has profoundly shaped my openness to all people and perspectives. From a young age, my love for animals was evident, a passion that frequently finds its way into my art. My interests are as eclectic as my background, encompassing foreign travel, cycling whenever and wherever possible, and hosting extravagant art salon soirées. My husband and I also take great joy in cooking nourishing, delicious meals for friends and family with ingredients sourced from local, organic, family farms. As a mother to two humans, three adopted or found canines, and a menagerie of succulents and cacti, my life is a vibrant blend of creativity, nurturing, and exploration—all of which deeply influence and inspire my artistic endeavors.   For more information on my work, to get in touch about collaborations, interviews, exhibitions or other opportunities, please use the form on the Contact page.
